About The Fielding / Sparks / Angel / Martin Family

Hi. This is my first attempt at figuring out how to keep a really good family record. I will make you these promises: 1) I will attempt to get, verify, and keep the very best information I can and continue to document discrepancies I find (like the birth year of my great-grandfather); 2) I will absolutely miss something along the way, so gimmie some grace.

What you are going to see in here are two main things. I went back to my grandparents and have been attempting to keep track of all their children and children's children. Then I went back one generation and started including my grandparent's siblings. The core of this tree will be centered in that place and continue to go back and forward en masse from there. But I am also interested in following back my grandfathers' parents ancestral lines and my grandmothers' parents ancestral lines. There won't be many siblings back that far until the entire mass grows to include them...but, you get the point.

Ok, have fun inside, send me info about things I have wrong, right, or a little wonky. Also, if you have any family pictures, stories, or recordings I could use for this project, I'd love to make a digital copy if you'd let me. Thanks much.

Mike :-)

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
